An Airbrush has become the most important choice for many people who have taken painting as a hobby. It can be used effectively to paint walls, furniture, nails, t-shirts, models made of plastic among many other items. You will find that airbrush paints come in a wide collection of colors that a good painter can make use of. Airbrush paints are generally classified into two categories i.e. it can either be opaque or transparent. Yellow-orange, red-orange, red-purple, blue-purple, blue-green and yellow-green are tertiary colors. These colors are found by mixing primary and secondary colors. You should have a pretty good idea of what you would like to have done. It helps greatly if you have pictures or even sketches of your own for them to work with. It doesn’t have to be perfect but keep in mind that if detail is missing from the picture and you don’t know what should go there, the artistic license will be used to fill it in. That means you’ll get their judgment and experience to solve the problem.

Generally, you will need to disassemble the parts to be painted from the bike or vehicle. Larger vehicles such as cars and trucks will need to have special arrangements made. Once you have communicated and have decided on a design for your project a price estimate will be given for the complete job.

However, many things can affect the estimate: proofs, prep work, body work (dent removal etc.), scratch repairs, sticker removal (If there is a sticker/decal that is under the clear coat it most likely will require the entire piece to be re-base coated.), primer/base coat (if required), Kandy colors, metal flakes, airbrush artwork (and it’s complexity) and clear coats.

An artists usually has a working relationship with an established auto body shop that will perform the required coatings. Generally the art project will not be guaranteed if you do not follow through and allow the artist to have the finishing coats performed. He does not want to risk his time and your money airbrushing on a questionable repair and/or paint job.

Car Wax and Car Paint Sealant. When to use them

A car enthusiast will find few things more pleasurable than standing back and admiring the results of a few hours labour on a Sunday afternoon after having washed and waxed his car.

If you are interested in maintaining that showroom look you need more than elbow grease. You will also need quality products, especially when it comes to getting a nice shine onto your car using wax or paint sealant. Both will give you a lasting shine and both need to be applied regularly, so what’s the difference?

Ok, first off, wax and car paint sealant achieve the same desired effect. They are both paint protectors. They are designed to be applied after you have polished your car’s paintwork. I hope you have picked up on the fact that because the two types of product do the same thing then you don’t need to use both at the same time. Some people think that they need to apply paint sealant before they apply wax. This is not the case. You can do if you so choose but you don’t really gain anything. So, you have a personal choice to make. Paint seala More…
